BACKGROUND OF PROJECT
The Government of Mongolia is implementing the Ensuring inclusiveness and service delivery for persons with disabilities project (Project) financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The project aims to ensure the inclusiveness of persons with disabilities, improve service at Ulaanbaatar city and province-level, increase employment opportunities for persons with disabilities, and assure their independence and economic contribution. The Executing Agency is the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (MLSP). This is a full-time position in the Project Implementation Unit based in Ulaanbaatar. The MLSP is now seeking to recruit a qualified candidate for the position of the Driver, who can effectively and efficiently be responsible for safely transporting the PIU staff and other authorized personnel for the purposes of Ensuring inclusiveness and service delivery for persons with disabilities project. Tasks and Responsibilities: To ensure all equipment and accessories are in good order. Also, ensure that the vehicle is kept clean, tidy, and in good working condition at all times. Following regulations in relation to the PIU and ADB’s driving safety procedure, codes of conduct, time-consuming, and labor discipline. Provide that the vehicle is ready for the job to ensure smooth implementation of the project. Driving project vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel; required to park the car in the garage specified by the PIU. Collect and deliver PIU mail, documents, and other items on time. To ensure vehicle repairs are carried out properly by official manufacturers specifications on a specified time and make sure the prompt reporting to a financial specialist of any damage or repair needed to the PIU vehicle. The driver shall be responsible for the PIU vehicle damage due to the driver’s fault. Required to attend ADB-s safety training before driving to the countryside. Other relevant tasks as assigned by the Project Coordinator.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION CRITERIA
| Education: | Minimum high school certificate. Valid Driver’s License and Training in Mechanics will be an advantage. |
| Work Experience & Skills | At least 5 years working experience as a driver for a company or public service agency At least 5 years driving experience with safe driving record; At least three 3 years working experience as a driver in a rural area |
| Language Proficiency: | Basic English skills would be an advantage. |
| Other Skills : | Be proactive and initiative. Integrity, flexible approaches to work with enthusiasm, commitment. The ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. Effective time management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Good communication skills. |
